Every year, hundreds of jet skis take over the waters surrounding Manhattan for one massive ride that has become legendary in the NYC watersports scene.
The 2026 Invasion is your chance to be part of the world’s largest run around Manhattan — and Empire City Watersports is the only company where you can rent a jet ski and join the experience for yourself.
This is not your average tour. This is an all-day takeover of New York Harbor. A full fleet of skis launching together, riding through the heart of the city, under 23 iconic bridges, and completely encircling Manhattan alongside hundreds of other riders from all over the tri-state area and beyond.
The ride begins with the fleet heading out toward the famous Pepsi-Cola sign in Long Island City before making its way beneath the Williamsburg Bridge and deeper into the city’s most unforgettable waterways. From skyline views to roaring engines echoing off the bridges, every second of this ride feels unreal.
You’ll be riding as part of a fully organized group led by experienced guides from start to finish, making this one of the most exciting and unforgettable events on the water every single year.
The energy is different. The views are different. The feeling of seeing hundreds of skis surrounding Manhattan at the same time is something you truly have to experience for yourself.

Thankfully, there are many great times to ride and very few scenarios where we a reschedule is necessary. Clouds in the sky have little to no impact on a great day on the water. In fact, many times they make for a little shade while you glide across very calm water. During any thunder and lightning we do not permit riding for your safety, but clouds, overcast and slight chances of rain may make for some of the best riding conditions.
If you have questions or find yourself hesitant on booking due to weather, please give us a call so we can help you address your concerns. Your safety, followed by your experience, is our top priority.

No, you do not need a license to ride a jet ski. Our instructors will brief you on all safety protocols prior to your tour.

You must be at least 18 years of age to drive a jet ski. Passengers must be at least 16 years of age.

No. Even if you’ve never ridden a jet ski before, our guided tours allow you to go at your own pace and get accustomed to riding a jet ski.

Each jet ski can safely hold up to 350 pounds.

You can switch drivers on the same watercraft as long as water conditions are safe and both riders have signed the driver agreement.

Our jet skis go up to 55 mph. How fast ones goes can be dependent on the driver’s ability to safely navigate, which will be monitored and overseen by the instructor of the tour.

Before you begin your tour, you will have a safety training during which you will learn how to get back on your jet ski in the unlikely event that you fall off of it.

- If your reservation is not rescheduled on our end due to weather conditions, we allow reschedules for no cost up to 24 hours in advance.
- Customers who do not call before the scheduled appointment and pull a no show will forfeit their payment.
- By completing this transaction, you are securing a space on the tour.
- We will only offer a reschedule given the advanced notice of 24 hours. Inside of 24 hour period rescheduling will incur a $75.00 rebooking fee.
- Refunds will NOT be offered as you have a guaranteed secured space in our schedule.
